Goal #1: Me encourage you
One day my husband and I got to talking about how we as Christians treat each other and how sometimes we just don’t seem to get it right. Within the week, I came across various verses that used the phrase “in a manner worthy of the Lord”. The phrase seemed to resonate deeply within me. For one, I thought that is exactly what I want to do “To conduct myself”, or “to walk” in a manner worthy of the Lord, giving Him honor in all I do. And second, I thought that is exactly what I want to encourage others to do.
Colossians 1: 10 says “so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.”
This verse inspires me with a 3 part goal:
- “to please Him in all respects” – I want to strengthen, encourage, and uplift women as they strive to honor God in their life. I want to help them connect back to God on a daily basis.
- “Bearing fruit in every good work” – I want to equip and challenge women to serve the Lord and His church.
- “increasing in the knowledge of God” – I want to help women to grow in knowledge, wisdom and faith. I want to motivate them to dig into God’s Word.
Goal #2: Inspire you to encourage others
Each of us has a circle of friends, co-workers, sisters in Christ, etc. These make up our circle of influence. And as Christians we are called to be influential. This doesn’t have to be on a global scale. It can be as simple as reaching out within your circle.
My goal is to give you simple easy ways to do that. For example, you could
- text “I thought this might encourage you” with an article link to a friend or co-wroker,
- print out some of the “encourgement mail” and mail to a friend or family member
- print out some of the “encouragement mail” to hand out at your next ladies Bible study
Ultimately, in both my efforts here and your efforts there, I hope we can lift each other up, so that we might all live, work, serve, worship, and love in a manner worthy of the Lord.
